Nick Edwards is the Executive Director of Hacking 4 Justice. Prior to launching H4J, he was Special Projects Director at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, coming to the SAO following years as a political operative and service in the Peace Corps.
Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx ran for office committed to making the CCSAO the most transparent prosecutor’s office in the country. Her vision for criminal justice reform spurred, and continues to guide, Hacking 4 Justice. Watch her remarks at the first H4J Workshop here.
Matthew Saniie joined the State’s Attorney’s Office in 2017 as the SAO’s first-ever Chief Data Officer. He now leads a team responsible for the SAO’s ongoing work to advance prosecutorial transparency and innovation in criminal justice.
Kyla is a sociologist, researcher, and educator, studying the role, practices, and influence of police and prosecutors. A founding organizer of Hacking 4 Justice, Kyla has years of experience teaching research methods to diverse students of criminal justice across Chicago. Learn more about Kyla’s work here.
